Privacy Policy

• No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party scripts and no adverts on this site.
• We only hold data you choose to send us: your email for the launch list, or what you put in the contact form.
• We never sell your data.
• You can ask us to show, correct or delete it at any time.

The website and the launch email list are run by CYOPS ("we", "us"), the publisher of Alderfolk. CYOPS is the controller of the data described here. You can reach us at info@alderfolk.com.

This policy covers this website only. The Steam store page, when it exists, is run by Valve and has its own policy.

Data

Your email address, the date you signed up, and whether you confirmed it.

Why

To send you one email when Alderfolk launches. Nothing else.

Your consent, given by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked.

Kept

Until we have sent the launch email, then the list is deleted, or earlier if you ask. An address you do not confirm is deleted automatically after 48 hours.

After you sign up we send a confirmation email, and only confirmed addresses join the list. The launch email is an advertising message under Israeli direct-mailing rules, and you agree to receive it by signing up.

Data

The topic you pick, your email address, your name and Steam ID if you give them, your message, and any files you attach (screenshots, videos, logs or documents).

Why

To read your message, reply to you, and look into any issue you report.

Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.

Kept

Up to 12 months after our last reply, then deleted, or earlier if you ask.

Please do not attach passwords, payment details or the personal data of other people. Files are stored in a private area that only we can open, and are not published. We accept images, video, PDF, text and zip files, up to 5 files, 25 MB each and 50 MB in total.

We do not use cookies or analytics and we do not keep a record of your visits. Like any website, the company that hosts it (see section 7) handles technical request data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and to block abuse. We do not store or look at that data.

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores the launch list and your attached files, and sends our emails.
• The mailbox that receives messages sent to our address is operated by our email provider.
• No one else receives your data. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
• We may disclose data if the law or a court requires it.

Cloudflare may process data in data centres outside Israel. We use it because it is a widely used provider with security commitments, and we keep what we send to it to the minimum described in this policy.

The site is served over HTTPS. The list and files sit in access-controlled services, and the contact form accepts only a short list of file types. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep little data and delete it when the purpose is done.

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Write to info@alderfolk.com. We may ask you to prove the address is yours, and we will reply within 30 days.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. We will remove your address from the list and delete your messages and files if you ask. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before.

This site is not aimed at children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you send us your details.

If you think we handled your data wrongly, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Privacy Protection Authority in Israel.

If we change this page, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how we use your data, we will tell you before the launch email.
